Meliá comes to Mazatlán in 2010!
The Spaniard company of Hotels Sol Meliá, who is one of the most prestigious in the world, will invest in Mazatlán in the year 2010, bringing more projection to the port.
Meliá Hotels have 300 complexes, distributed in 30 different countries of the 4 continents. In México, they have presence in Cancún, Cabo San Lucas, Cozumel, Ixtapa, D.F. and Puerto Vallarta.
Antonio Ibarra Salgado, Secretary of Tourism, mencioned that also is coming other Spaniard company with Meliá called Catalonia and that will guaranty more tourism with better spending power.
“We’ve confirmed that Meliá will build a hotel in Mazatlán in 2010, also the company Catalonia will put us in other level of destination having an international projection”, expressed during the press conference.
“The directors of Meliá and Catalonia confirmed that in 2010 will start the construction of both hotels”.
Ibarra assured that 2010 will be the best year of Mazatlán, because it’s going to have 1000 more hotel rooms and a many number of tourists, due to the touristic promotion in Canada and United States.
